HijabAI processes your personal data when you use our services and/or when you provide it to us. Below is an overview of the personal data we process:

Special and/or Sensitive Personal Data We Process

HijabAI does not process any special and/or sensitive personal data except for face data and images that you voluntarily upload for the purpose of AI model training, as detailed in the “Collection and Use of Face Data (Biometric Data)” section below. Beyond this, no other special or sensitive personal data is processed. We also do not use social media plugins.

Purposes and Legal Basis for Processing Personal Data

HijabAI processes your personal data for the following purposes:

• Handling your payment
• Sending newsletters and/or promotional materials
• Contacting you via phone or email for service-related purposes
• Informing you about changes to our services and products
• Offering you the option to create an account
• Delivering goods and services to you
• Analyzing your behavior on the website to improve our services and tailor product offerings to your preferences
• Monitoring your browsing behavior across different websites to align our products and services with your needs
• Processing personal data required by law, such as data needed for tax returns

Collection and Use of Face Data (Biometric Data)

Face Data We Collect: When you voluntarily upload your photos or “selfies,” HijabAI collects those images solely for the purpose of training our AI model to generate new images with user-specific characteristics (e.g., allowing the model to create Hijab fashion styles blended with your own facial features).

Planned Uses of Face Data: We use these uploaded images to train a specialized LoRa model. Once trained, this model can generate new images that incorporate certain attributes of your facial features. The model’s purpose is limited to providing AI-generated images to you and is not used for any other functions, such as facial recognition, identity verification, or biometric identification beyond your intended use.

Sharing and Storage of Face Data:We do not sell or share face data with third parties for independent use. We store images temporarily on secure servers or third-party cloud infrastructure (under binding data processing agreements) solely to perform the AI model training. Only authorized personnel who require access to perform the training and generate images can handle this data.

Retention of Face Data:The raw images you upload are stored only during the training process and are deleted once the AI training is completed. The newly generated images that incorporate characteristics of your face are kept for 90 days. After 90 days, these generated images are automatically deleted. If you wish to have them removed sooner, you may contact us at any time (see “View, Modify, or Delete Personal Data” section below), and we will securely delete them at your request.

Generated Model Weights:The LoRa model that is trained on your images (i.e., the weights learned from your images) is retained only for the purpose of generating images for you. These model weights do not contain your original images but do capture certain abstract features necessary to generate stylized outputs. These weights and any derivative data are not shared with third parties, sold, or used for any purpose other than generating your requested images.

Retention Period

HijabAI does not retain your personal data longer than necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was collected. We follow the following retention periods for different categories of personal data:

• General Personal Data: 30 days (unless otherwise required by law or specified elsewhere in this policy).
• Face Data (Uploaded Images): Stored only for the duration of training. Deleted immediately upon completion of the model training process.
• Generated Images Containing Your Characteristics: Retained for 90 days after generation, then automatically deleted.

Sharing Personal Data with Third Parties

HijabAI does not sell your data to third parties and only shares it when necessary to fulfill our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. We have data processing agreements with companies that process your data on our behalf, ensuring the same level of security and confidentiality. HijabAI remains responsible for these processing activities.

With regard to face data, we do not share your face data or the trained model weights with any independent third parties. Our use of limited third-party services, such as cloud storage or computing providers, is governed by strict agreements that prohibit any use of your data beyond what is needed to facilitate AI model training.

HijabAI uses functional, analytical, and tracking cookies. A cookie is a small text file stored in the browser of your computer, tablet, or smartphone when you first visit this website. Cookies are essential for the technical operation of the website and for your convenience, as they remember your preferences and allow us to optimize the website. View, Modify, or Delete Personal Data

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can do this yourself through your account's personal settings. You also have the right to withdraw your consent for data processing or object to the processing of your personal data by our company. Additionally, you have the right to data portability, meaning you can request us to send the personal data we have about you to yourself or another organization of your choice.

To ensure that the access request is made by you, we ask you to include a copy of your ID with the request. Please black out your photo, MRZ (machine-readable zone), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN) for privacy protection. HijabAI will respond to your request as soon as possible, but no later than four weeks.
